Sequeira Partners was engaged by GPT to assist with finding the right partner to help facilitate the next phase of growth for the Company. The Sequeira team provided advisory assistance throughout the transaction process including marketing the business to a range of prospective partners, negotiating preliminary and final deal terms, advising on the structure and consideration mix, and assisting with due diligence and other pre-closing matters. After acquiring the business in Q4 of 2019, the Management team successfully repositioned the business, focusing operations, and developing new complimentary product lines. The partnership with Longbow allowed the shareholders to monetize a portion of their equity while continuing to lead the next phase of growth for GPT alongside Longbow. Global Power Technologies was established in 1975 to commercialize thermoelectric generator technology originally developed for the Apollo Space Program. Today, GPT is the world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of thermoelectric generators for use as remote power sources. GPT manufactures thermoelectric generators, from 5 to 550 watts, using heat to directly produce electrical power, and has expanded to provide high efficiency Combined Heat and Power generators up to 6kVA and Instrument Air Systems for eliminating methane venting.
