Martin Peters

Martin joined Alpax after seven years at ING. During 2002 and 2003, he worked as a Relationship Manager for business development in Paraguay, Bolivia and Uruguay. Previously he was part of INGs Mergers & Acquisitions Latin American Group based in New York, with industry focus on Food and Retail and country coverage on Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia and Uruguay. Prior to that, Martin was based at INGs Asuncion Branch where he worked on M&A deals, structured facilities and syndicated loans. Martin holds a degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Asuncion and attended several international courses with INGs Executive Training Program. He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Marangatú & Yacaré (Servant Family) was sold to Agropeco S.A.

The transaction involved the sale of Estancias Marangatú and Yacaré, located in the district of San Cristóbal, Alto Paraná Department, Paraguay. These properties, owned by Asunpar S.A. and Nikura S.A., were acquired by Agropeco S.A., a company belonging to the “Inpasa” Group. In this transaction, Alpax acted as the exclusive Financial Advisor to the Servant Family. This 9,019-hectare agricultural and livestock complex combines an extensive land area with a strategic location in one of the most productive regions of the country. Its operations efficiently integrate agriculture, cattle ranching, and forest reserve areas, making it a high-value asset within the national agribusiness sector. The Servant Family, of French origin, is a shareholder of Asunpar S.A. and Nikura S.A.

The transaction consists of the sale of 100% of the “Estación Los Jardines” Shopping Center and Other Real Estate Assets, owned by Grupo Amiria (Paraguay), to Grupo Chemin (Paraguay). Alpax acted as exclusive Financial Advisor to the Shareholders of Grupo Amiria. Grupo Amiria’s Shopping Center and Real Estate business, comprised of the Companies Monta and Cota Paraguay, includes: The operation of the “Estación Los Jardines” Shopping Center, with over 66 Commercial Units and 23,178 m² of Leasable Area, strategically and prominently located in the city of Luque, covering 29,817 m² of land and 32,698 m² of built area; and The Real Estate Asset housing the Supermarket recently acquired by Grupo Chemin, “Aho Aho Comercial,” also strategically located in the city of Luque, covering 7,549 m² of land and 6,736 m² of built area.

Capitalization Agreement by BNB Corporación Paraguay in Zeta Banco.

We are pleased to announce that Alpax acted as exclusive Financial Advisor to BNB Corporación Paraguay in the Capitalization Agreement in Zeta Banco. This transaction marks the tenth deal advised by Alpax in the Paraguayan financial system. The transaction consists of a Capital Injection through which BNB Corporación Paraguay acquires a 35% stake in the new share capital of Zeta Banco. This strategic alliance will enable Zeta Banco to expand its financial intermediation capacity, enhance its product and service offerings, create new financing opportunities for individuals, SMEs, and large corporations, drive its territorial expansion with broader national coverage, and integrate cutting-edge technology. For BNB Corporación Paraguay, the transaction will allow it to expand and strengthen its presence in the Paraguayan Financial Sector, where it has operated since 2023 through BNB Invest Casa de Bolsa and BNB Asset Management AFPISA. The transaction is subject to the approval of the Superintendency of Banks of the Central Bank of Paraguay.

The Transaction consists of the sale of the Business Rights of the Swedish car brand "Volvo" for the Paraguayan territory by Rieder & Cía. to the Garden Group. The Transaction allows Rieder & Cía. to focus its efforts on strategic sectors such as energy, industrial, agricultural, forestry, construction, and transportation. Rieder & Cía. will continue to represent and commercialize the Volvo brand for trucks, buses, and heavy machinery, as well as the SDLG brand, among others. The Garden Group adds a premium brand to its portfolio, recognized for its focus on sustainability and elect vehicles. The Group will take over the distribution, commercialization, customer service, and after-sales services of Volvo Cars in Paraguay. This Transaction is subject to the approval of the local Regulatory Entities.
