Lieven has a Master’s degree in Commercial Sciences / Finance (Antwerp) and a Bachelor’s degree in Textile technology (Ghent). He also followed the Advanced Management Programme at the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. After a career as a freelance journalist during his studies, Lieven became a co-founder of PR Force NV in 1993. After the sale of PR Force to a listed communication group in London in 2002, he became managing director and then country CEO of respectively Citigate Dewe Rogerson, Trimedia and Grayling. As a consultant, Lieven was involved in more than 25 equity capital markets transactions and still is as a strategic communications and investor relations expert. Lieven also has a Real Estate Agent accreditation (BIV: 506512, mandatory in Belgium).

Lieven joined VD&P Corporate Finance in 2010.

Lobbi Hotel Software acquired by RoomRaccoon Hotel Tech Lobbi, founded by David De Windt & Philippe Mangé, is a Belgium-based software provider for small to medium-sized hotels. RoomRaccoon, its Dutch peer, is a leading cloud-based hotel management software provider for independent hotels. This strategic partnership is set to bolster RoomRaccoon’s presence by expanding its user base in the Benelux region and further afield with an additional +300 properties. Existing Lobbi hoteliers will benefit from an expanded suite of solutions tailored to their property’s needs and an enhanced level of support to ensure their operations run smoothly at all times.VDP acted as advisor to Lobbi.

POM was acquired by Mail to Pay.

Transaction: The Antwerp start-up POM – Peace Of Mind, which was founded 8 years ago by Johannes Vermeire and Tom Totté, will become part of the Dutch Mail to Pay, a portfolio company of Vortex Capital Partners. Management and shareholders will remain on board. With 25 employees, Mail to Pay is about twice the size of POM. Based on the current run-rate, the combination is generating approximately 10 million euros in revenues. VDP has advised the seller. Mail to Pay: Mail to Pay is the founder of debtor process automation in the Netherlands and automates the invoicing process of large organizations with innovative credit management software. Over the past three years, Mail to Pay in Belgium has successfully built up a nice portfolio in various sectors, such as healthcare (hospitals and medical laboratories), energy companies, residential care centers and various financial players.
