Danny Vannevel

Danny is his whole career active in M&A, starting in a investment company at GIMV, then switching to the corporate finance department of a leading Belgian accountant, which was taken over by Deloitte. In 2000, joined VD&P where he worked as well on the sell side as on the buy side for typically family owned businesses in all kind of M&A transactions, local and international. Danny has realised several transactions in the food industry and the construction sector, sectors where he seats in some boards of directors or advisory boards.

Founder and managers reshape shareholder structure.

To optimally ensure future continuity of the company, the founder and managers decided to gradually reshuffle the shareholder structure allocating higher ownership to future leadership through a leveraged buy-out transaction. The new shareholder structure involves the founder giving up majority ownership of the company and the fellow shareholders stepping up to take a combined majority. VDP acted as the exclusive advisor to all shareholders.

The construction group Willemen Groep acquires a strategic stake in metal construction company Almex Metaal. This investment solidifies the successful cooperation between the two leading companies and allows for Almex Metaal to further develop within the ranks of the Willemen group of companies. Willemen Groep in turn secures for the long term capabilities within the steel construction sector. VDP acted as exclusive advisor to the buyer.

The Mechelen-based construction group Willemen Group is selling its foundation technology division to the Kortrijk-based company 2Fund. 2Fund is taking over the companies De Waal Solid Foundations and Studiebureel Sondex, which have branches in Lokeren and Oostende. The sale is part of Willemen Groep’s recovery plan, while 2Fund is expanding its activities and increasing its market share with this acquisition. VDP acted as the exclusive advisor to De Waal Solid Foundations and the Willemen Groep.
